It's official -- I am now a permanent dweller of cubicle-land. My plan was to remain temporary and unattached to the people, the place, the job.
Shoot.
I'd think most people would be pretty happy about getting a job so quickly. Well, if I have to have an office job (which, apparently, I do), then I guess this is a pretty good one.
Just don't expect me to start collecting KNICK-KNACKS for my cube decorating. It'll never happen! Heh. Though I did splurge (woohoo) and purchased a squishy wrist-wrest thingamabob this morning so I don't get carpaltunnel or whatever that evil disease is. And I brought a coaster from home to put my ever-present (or so it seems these days) diet coke on. And I'm thinking about creating a fun musical wallpaper for my two monitors. And so it begins...


In other news, Jen Chapin seems to be my current fave singer. I heard her talking about the musical play "The Blue Flower" on broadwaybullet (a podcast) several months ago and fell in love with her singing the song "Eiffel Tower". It's kind of a tear-my-heart-up sort of nostalgic type song, even though I've never been to the Eiffel Tower. It's not really even about the Eiffel Tower. Honestly, I don't even know why it's called that. :-) Anyway, I was listening to her (and similar singers, so the geniuses [genii?] at pandora decide are similar] on pandora recently, and now have TWO songs of hers that I love. Here's the second one:
