My friend erinpez might be the best music-picker in the world. Seriously. Once she made me two mix CDs -- "Meagan's Mellow Mix" and "Moody Music, aka It's Not That Easy Bein' Blue". Treasures. I have her myspace page open in another window right this moment intentionally just so I can listen to her profile song over and over again. It's "Guaranteed" by Eddie Vedder from Into the Wild. I don't even know what that is, but I like it. It seems like the music she chooses is without fail just right for each moment. A while ago she had a youtube video linked on her blog that I watched 5 times in one sitting. Just sitting there, crying, watching Gonzo and his other muppet buddies singing around a campfire. Then she took it off. (grrr!) On my blog-catching-up-rampage of the other day, I tried to go back to that post of hers and youtube told me it was gone. I'm gonna go try to find it on youtube right now. BRB....
Ah yes, here it is....
(hmmm, first time I've posted a video in my blog. We'll see if it works...) (hmm, it's kind of quiet, turn your speakers up.) (hmm, I use way too many parenthesis.) (way too many "hmm"s, too.)
I can just see Erin living her life there out in the wilderness of Yellowstone Park along to this
fabulous soundtrack I get little snippets of here and there from her in the wilderness of the internet.(not quite sure why little Mr Bill is there with her on that rock...I bet there's an entertaining story behind that... :-)
I miss you, Erin!
In other news, today I acquired a really, really, cooooooollll fan (haha, a "cool" fan) from the
lobby of my building. It had been left in that unofficial and illegal location by the mailboxes where people occasionally leave random junk -- old printers, monitors, lampshades, magazines, etc. -- that they don't want to go to all the hassle (sarcasm) of craigslisting it or something, but are too lazy or green or trashy to just put it in the dumpster. So usually seeing something there just pisses me off and reminds me that I have trashy neighbors. But when I saw this I snatched it up immediately and surreptitiously whisked it up to my place. Yipee! One less reason to use the money-gulping AC! (Gulp. Gulp. Gulp. That just reminded me of the musical Tanya and I are going to write one day. Called "Gulp.")

Yes I know the video is there twice. I don't know how to get rid of the extra one. The html for it didn't show up at all in the edit screen. That's how it got to be there twice in the first place.
Oh bother.
oh no!! I didn't mean to take off that video. Since my computer stopped turning on, I've been ignoring my blog. But it might be getting fixed soon! If I have time in the office today, maybe I'll update it.
I'm very honored that you think I'm such a great music-picker. If my computer still worked, I could make you even MORE CDs!!!
And "Into The Wild" is a great, great movie (based on a true story) about a guy who abandons his life to go live his life in the wilderness. It is an amazing movie, and it is very pretty. I saw it in the theater right after I applied at Yellowstone, and after I saw it I knew that I HAD to take this job if it got offered to me.
This comment is becoming way too long. I love you!! I miss you!!!
Ah, but see, you don't have to put it back up. 'Cause I put it here. I put it here twice! :-D
And I love long comments!
love meagan
Oh how I loved the Muppet movies as a little girl. I need to watch them all again. I have super fond memories of the song "Rainbow Connection". That was THE best song in my little 7 year-old mind. I would replay that song on my little old record player over and over and over again, singing to my hearts content. I could never figure out how they could sing the one note for sooooooooooooooo long in that song. I'm gonna have to go find that song. I miss it!!
Thanks for the memories.
P.S.
Good to see you blogging again. :)
