mein haus

Mackie and I just got home from a lovely little 2.5-day trip to Portland. I stayed with Katie and that was so very sweet to me, because it has been years since I've been there to stay with her. Lately, it's always been a hotel with Mike. This trip, I drove up there instead of flying (because I wanted to bring Mackie) and basically just did a lot of visiting with friends. Nothing particularly life-shattering (besides, of course, the fabulous Gustav's fondue) nor introspective. Just...mellow.

I bought a pillow at Ikea last night. Therefore, I am SO excited to go to bed tonight after my show.

Got home, got the car unpacked (wow, I bought a lot of random little stuff at Ikea and Trader Joe's :-), opened all the mail (2 new books! Yay!), and am now sitting at my desk catching up on all my friends' updates via facebook, blogger, myspace, mtf, etc. and listening to all the wonderful new mellow music I "stole" from Katie--Jack Johnson, Regina Spektor, KT Tunstall, Five o Clock People. Nice.

Oh yeah, and I'm in my robe. I instantly changed clothes the second I got home. I have to be at the theater in Ashland in about 90 minutes. I should really start getting dressed eventually. :-)
